Open 1999shaswat opened this issue 10 months ago • 1 comments

System Details

  • OS: 24.04.2 LTS
  • Thorium Version: 130.0.6723.174

Problem In previous release 128.0.6613.189, the youtube video played was decoded on GPU. This is not working in new release

Did you read the FAQ? https://thorium.rocks/faq yes, no help

Additional Notes No gpu activity in gpu video and video-encode parameters for new version. Activity there in old version. Less cpu usage while playing video in old version Lag free 8k video playback in old version

Fix: Changed a flag and video decode works now GL Vaapi Video Decode -> Enabled (chrome://flags/#vaapi-video-decode-linux-gl)
