Remove "use a passkey"

Open carlosfmesilva opened this issue 11 months ago • 4 comments

As the title says, I want to remove the pop-up that says "use a passey".

This happens when I am about to login to my Gmail account. But certainly it shall happen to other websites that need login.

I was able to turn it off in Firefox, but not in Chromium-based browsers.

Is there a policy, preference, or flag to do that?

Any help is welcome.

Can you upload a screenshot that clearly shows the problem you are experiencing?

I think you can go forward with entering your email instead of hovering and looking at that button. For most of the people, it is a very important feature who uses their device to login with Passkey.

And also, this is a privacy feature, by Google with login process. So, removing it is not necessary.

Hi @vippium that is correct.

The thing is... in Firefox that popup can be omitted tunning preferences.

Therefore, I was expecting a similar feature in chromium-based browsers by setting a preference or a policy.
