(possible) memory leak, confirmed behavior with task manager, could be an extension have installed misbehaving
System Details
- OS: Windows 10
- Thorium Version: 121.0.6167.204 (Official Build) (64-bit) (AVX2 version as well)
Problem sorry i can't be more descriptive here! not exactly sure how generate a log file if there is such a feature. all i know is that i keep running into memory leaks every so often when using the browser normally. one IMPORTANT thing to note is that i haven't tried disabling my browser extensions so there's a solid chance one of them is the cultrate here, but if other people seem to be having a similar issue I figured it wouldn't hurt for me to post about it anyway.
in task manager usually one sub-process of Thorium will start to use around 25 - 50% of my CPU while continuing to use more and more memory until either i quit the sub-process itself or Thorium quits it after around 30 seconds. sometimes the browser itself will either slow down or freeze enterally when this happens but I've never had it crash so whatever it is it clearly doesn't seem to be a core process. if there's a way to generate some kind of log file to see what the issue could be in more detail i would be happy to do that!
experiencing similar issues. OS: Fedora Version 124.0.6367.218 (Official Build) stable, built on Ubuntu (64-bit)
Even leaving the new tab without doing anything, it slowly starts to increase its RAM usage.
