New tab UI is extremely hard on the eyes

I updated thorium via the installer and the new tab system is truly an eye sore. There is no full differentiation between the tabs, just a thick black bar. Is there any way to make them look like actual tabs again? Also, the top of the active tab doesnt even reach the top of the monitor. Very hard on the eyes.

That helped, thanks! It makes it so the top actually reaches the top of the monitor, but there are still the thick lines between each tab. Is there a way to change that too?
