[FEATURE REQUEST] A flag to set the window/page black before load
System Details
- OS: Windows 11
- Thorium Version: Thorium_SSE4_130.0.6723.174.zip
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Before loading a page, or a window, or maximize the minimized thorium browser, there will be full white blank that burns the eyes.
Please see the .gif below.
Every settings is on default after the first setup of Don't Sign in and Skip from new empty USER_DATA folder.
You could see before the Task Manager fully loaded, a white blank page flashes the eyes.
The flags of #force-dark-mode and #enable-force-dark doesn't change anything.
Describe the solution you'd like, including relevant patches or source
I don't want to go full blown such as #force-dark-mode and #enable-force-dark intended.
But I'd like Thorium to have a new flag to just load it with full black blank beforehand instead of white.
Additional Notes
I don't find this behavior in Firefox v135. But Google Chrome of v133 also has this white blank thing.
This white flashing problem has been discussed since a long times ago. https://superuser.com/questions/580228/prevent-white-screen-before-loading-page-in-chromium https://superuser.com/questions/717343/how-can-i-make-chromes-white-flash-when-a-new-tab-is-opened-be-black https://jollo.org/LNT/public/chrome-white-flash.html
A guy alters this at the source code instead with flag on v57 in the past. https://github.com/hbtlabs/chromium-white-flash-fix

Firefox fixes it by postponing the first paint for much longer than Chrome.
Please also file an issue upstream using Chrome.
@gz83 Peoples have done it https://issues.chromium.org/issues/40581308/dupes
