Same issue on linux. Can't login to sync. I can login to the regular firefox website, but trying to login for sync never works.

Console says:

console.error: "WebChannelMessageToChrome sent with an object from a non-whitelisted principal"
console.warn: LoginRecipes: "Falling back to a synchronous message for: https://accounts.firefox.com."

@lemon07r @nhm567 @federicotorrielli @rohitsaha29 @Kvn0l Possible fixed. See latest release > https://github.com/Alex313031/Mercury/releases/tag/v.115.0.0

I've hit the same issue on Windows running the latest build - on Linux it works fine. Tried downgrading to v115, same thing. Checked Windows Firewall, seems ok. Also, vanilla Firefox on Windows works fine too, so looks like a Mercury+Windows specific issue.

On both versions I've observed the following behavior:

  • first time logging into Sync, after entering the verification code it immediately returns back to the login screen with an error "password incorrect" (I know it was correct as I copy/pasted from keepass every time).
  • second time logging in goes through ok, but after a few seconds a warning icon appears saying "account disconnected"
  • logging in again repeats the cycle

Navigating to https://accounts.firefox.com/navigation-timing from vanilla Firefox (for which sync login works) returns 404 as well, so it seems the URL in the Windows build of Mercury is wrong or being blocked somehow? Sounds unlikely but everything points to that as the only issue.

Console:
