I would love to see this enhancement come true. I'm currently thinking about using this in my app, but the high API requirement results in removing over 20.000 users. Is there anything I can do to help? What are you struggling with to lower the requirement?

Actually, the main problem is that right now I don't have enough time to support and develop more features for this library, unfortunately.

Pull Requests and general contributions are greatly appreciated, so if you'd like to dive deep into this issue, feel free to do it and I will review the PR and obviously I would be thankful for this feature.
