Arduino Opta symbol
Hi there 🖐️ ,
I like to use your library for creating the circuit diagrams for my projects. For this reason, I had to create a symbol for the Arduino Opta which I’ve implemented in your library. I have tried to stick to the convention of the other symbols of this library.
I did not create a pcb footprint because I didn't want to disassemble my Opta and I also don't know whether it's allowed to publish the footprint of the Opta.

Hi @AlexanderTonn, thank you for submitting this. Unfortunately I don't think the Arduino Opta is an appropriate addition to this library, as it can't be used as a PCB component in the normal sense, so it doesn't make sense to make a layout footprint. I don't really want to have a symbol without a footprint, as I think that will just confuse people. What do you think?
I'm not sure whether it would confuse some people. The idea is that there is a symbol for creating circuit diagrams if someone want to document the own arduino projects. Many creators only want to have a understandable circuit diagram and not a full developed pcb layout of their own projects (in bigger projects it's also not possible because there are many different devices which are not placed on one pcb)
At the end you have to decide whether you want to have the symbol in your lib. I only thought that a very complete library like this could need a symbol for the Arduino Opta
I've thought about it some more, but ultimately concluded that the Arduino Opta (like the Potenta line) is not an appropriate addition to this library. I may revisit this decision in future, but for now I want to concentrate on updating the existing parts of the library. Nevertheless, I thank you for the contribution.
