After DST, Open Meteo Weather Data is attributed to earlier day (data shifted to the left)

I wasn't planning to open a new ticket since farfromrefug is still going to be busy with his thing (if you're reading this I hope everything's been great BTW), but since a new release was pushed...

Lately I've been noticing a misalignment between Open Meteo and OSS Weather. This is easily spotted with a location that currently has:

  • mostly stable forecasts that don't change too much update-to-update
  • a day or block of days with recognizable conditions (e.g. rain) surrounded by days with different conditions (e.g. not rainy)

In default location, I had forecasts with a sunny block followed by a rainy one.

On the Open Meteo site, the rainy block would be displayed as starting on Day 0, using either Hourly or Daily data. In OSS Weather, the rainy block would be displayed on the previous day (Day -1).

The daily amount of precipitation was exactly the same, only shifted left into the past.

I was able to reproduce the issue using:

  • "Precipitation Sum" with Icon Seamless
  • Daily Max/Min Temp with MeteoFrance Seamless

On other metrics there may be unexplained differences between the app and the site which I mentioned already in an older ticket that ended up being closed IIRC.

The workaround was to create a new favorite and to delete the old one, there is/was a problem with how DST was handled by the favorites.

I didn't keep an old favorite to test if the release from yesterday had solved things. Does it work now with the latest release?

OSS Weather(ios): v2.11.2 Build 142 or OSS Weather(android): v2.11.2 Build 164

The binning appears to have been corrected, although there are differences in the values displayed by Open-Meteo.com and those shown by the app, perhaps rounding errors?

@Mrnofish could you share a screenshot showing how you compare ?
