Zoom state of hourly chart does not adapt and is not remembered between app restarts

I'd like the hourly chart to show me the next 5 days. I've found out that i can pinch to zoom out but after an app restart, the zoom state is back to default (48 hours in my case).

I would like

1. the hourly chart to show the full range of its selected time range by default. So e.g. if i select that the hourly chart should show 120 hours then it should be zoomed out accordingly by default.
2. either the zoom state remembered between restarts or the default zoom able to be set in the options (some users might actually want the default zoom to be fewer hours than the amount that the hourly view shows in total with scrolling)

@Schweber 1 would be really ugly I can though add a parameter for the starting zoom Though it won't be before September because I won't have a computer until then
