I just used it to connect to the discord, so I can't reproduce the problem you are reporting.
on the aider-chat web site, the top menu bar includes a link to Discord. This is some kind of invite link. If you are already a member you get in. If not, you get a message that the invite has expired. It says "Invite invalid. this invite may be expired or you might not have permission to join". Same link as posted in the comment above. Same link in the readme on github. Also, searching discord doesn't reveal the aider-chat discord. Not sure why it wouldn't be public. Thanks
p.s. there is also a dead sub-reddit r/AiderAI that hasn't had a post in a year.
I guess, the real question is: is there an aider community somewhere? Here on github in this repo? That's fine. I just have FOMO.

The link on the homepage and in the read me which I pasted above works for me in an incognito browser with a new discord account.
That is a valid and active link. Some one that works for me.
Is there some problem with your Discord account?
Can you share a screenshot of the error discord is giving you?
It seems to be a problem with the Edge browser and perhaps my account. I had never been to Discord using the Brave browser and I tried that and got in. So you are correct and the link is not stale. @BurntPineapple52 what browser are you using to try the link? Can you try a different one?
I'm on Chrome, and I imagine many people who are trying to utilize that link on chrome are also having this issue.
Using a discord account that is not apart of the server, you can validate this bug exists by opening chrome in incognito, clicking the previously mentioned discord link https://discord.gg/Tv2uQnR88V, and you'll see the following behavior in Discord on Windows:

Not much information there: possibilities: expired, invalid, over 100 servers joined (I haven't), and banned.
I searched the web and found that this can be caused by browser caching. Sure enough, I cleared the following and I no longer get the rejection. Sigh, silly me for believing the error message. My apologies for wasting your time.

- Download history
- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files
I mean there's clearly something going on with the link. I've seen it described as stale a few times by various people.

This seems very weird, and again, as a member of many discord communities over the years, not something I've seen before.

I'm positive I didn't do anything to get banned, as I was only potentially in the server for a day or two, and only sent a hello message, if that even. I wonder if it's a discord IP ban, where somebody with a similar IP to me was banned from the server, and now I'm being impacted.
To clarify I did try all of the steps mentioned previously (clearing cache, browser data, etc), as well as trying different browsers, different browser profiles, etc. I don't use a VPN either. I have been able to join other servers since this happened.
I've also tried to set up a brand new discord account to join the server, which leads me to believe it's the IP ban issue that is going on. I'll try resetting my router for a new dynamic ip.
I'm labeling this issue as stale because it has been open for 2 weeks with no activity. If there are no additional comments, I will close it in 7 days.

Is there anybody that can tell me if I am banned, and if so, why? I would really love to participate in the discord server.
