I recursively changed ownership of WindowsApps to Everyone like a moron...

...will this script help me? The main problem seem that I did that ercursively, and looking at a windows 11 VM I have at hand, not everything under WindowsApps is owned by TrustedInstaller so I can't simply change it back. Most directories seem to be owned by System, some by Administrators group.

Will this script restore them to proper ones?

I think it should, as I've successfully used this tool before to help restore proper ownership in the WindowsApps folder - and restore lost Start Menu shortcuts as a result - after an attempt was made to recursively change ownership inside the WindowsApps folder with commands like the ones below:

takeown /F "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\*" /A /R /D Y
icacls "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\*.*" /grant *S-1-5-32-544:F /T /C /Q

So, if you did something similar, I think it should be able to help you undo those changes as well.
