Arcs ignore Noodle coordinates in favor of base game x/y

Open Mawntee opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug

If there's an object on the same beat as an arc, and also shares the same base game x/y values as the head (and possibly tail) of an arc, it will be connected to that arc

Example:

This bomb is technically connected to that arc on the left (same beat/x/y), and breaks the score multiplier once the arc is hit. So since the bomb is connected to the head, and there is a note at the tail of the arc, the game is trying to join the two together as one hit. Since the bomb wasn't cut when initiating the arc, the bomb is counted as a "miss" image

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. see screenshot above
  2. re-create that hit
    • bomb/note/arc same beat, vanilla note/arc, bomb with precision placement but base game x/y same as arc/note

Expected behavior

The bomb that isn't connected to the arc shouldn't be connected to the arc.

Additional context

  • I haven't tested this myself because I'm too lazy to put on the headset.
  • Issue was first sent to me while watching a testplay of a map from MadChase, and then further testing to try and figure out the cause of the issue.
  • We didn't test to see if this also happens with the tail of an arc, or with other notes.
  • This issue does happen with fake bombs, but instead of breaking combo/multiplier or whatever, you just feel the haptics from the false hit.
