Screensaver stopped playing videos, now the full screen is just black

Does this work on MacOS Sequoia?

It worked for about an hour. Then I tried playing a different file. now it won't play anything.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No Joy I have tried all the other videos that it used to play. No joy.

I did notice that when reinstalling Aerial Companion that it no longer asks for "All users" vs. only "me" to use it. What's up with that?

What I tried to uninstall:

1. I cannot delete the cache because there is no such path as: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.ScreenSaver.Engine.legacyScreenSaver/Data/ Library/Application Support/Aerial

2. I removed the Aerial file from /Library/Screensavers

3. I cannot delete the preference file because there is no such path as: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.ScreenSaver.Engine.legacyScreenSaver/Data/ Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.JohnCoates.Aerial.{UUID}.plist

How can I make it go back to virgin status? So it will be as if I have never installed it.

Or do you have any idea why it quit playing videos and just shows a full black screen instead of playing the video?

I tried to attach the mp4 file, but it must be too large.

Just for clarity, this means the bug exists in the current release for users in Sequoia or Tahoe? Or both?

It affects all versions of macOS since macOS 14, up to the latest beta today, so all of them yes.

Running the latest Tahoe. Can't get 3.9.9a4 to play the videos (local mp4 files), only see black screens (iMac with 2nd monitor). Everything is where it should be, the settings are correct. My videos are shown under Now Playing, but not under Browse Videos. All videos are also in the cache. The latest stable version only worked intermittently.
