Mismatch in payment method name for credit card payments

While placing orders with credit card in adyen SFCC cartridge v23.2.1, payment method name is stored as 'scheme' for US locale while it is card name ('visa', 'mc') for other locales like AU, UK. Is this a bug or is this expected?

We have fixed the inconsistency when storing the payment method in our latest release.
