Renovator Publish Functionality

Required Information

• AEM Version, including Service Packs, Cumulative Fix Packs, etc: AEM 6.5.6
• ACS AEM Commons Version: 5.0.2
• Reproducible on Latest? yes

Expected Behavior

When we use the renovator to rename an asset, and select publish option as self-managed or Queue, I am assuming the renamed asset to be republished, as the references of the asset is getting published.

Actual Behavior

Whenever, we are renaming an asset using renovator and selecting the publish option as self managed or queue, the renamed asset is not getting published again. Although, the references are getting published.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Publish an asset. Example: /content/dam/we-retail/en/features/support.png
2. Use the renovator tool to rename this asset with Publish option as "self managed" or "queue".
3. Observe the name of asset which is renamed in author.
4. Observe the name of asset in publish environment, the renamed asset is not published.

I'm seeing a similar issue for folder moves. The folders are published, but not the assets within them.

@Collingr are there any errors in the logs? Do you know if its just not trying to replicate at all? Or if it issues the replicate call but the replication never makes it out?
