Rename "Advances" to "Advance"/"Target Advance" in Gen 5 IDs section and all Gen 5 Searcher windows (not generators)
It being called "advances" makes some people believe that thats the amount of advances they have to do. If it were renamed to "Target Advance", this would be much clearer in my opinion (perhaps also rename Initial Advances to be just the singular Initial Advance? I just feel like that would be a tiny bit clearer though not nearly as much of a difference as for the main suggestion ofc)
What makes IDs special? The naming convention is the same for all other Gen 5 forms
Just "advances" definitely makes most sense for the generator for wild, static etc. rng since that lets you track the rng advances on that seed. But when searching for a seed just having it named "advances" would sometimes lead newcomers to believe that that is the amount of advances you have to do. Whilst it is named "advances" for IDrng just as much as it is for wild, static etc., it's not an issue in these latter ones as you practically have to use the generator tab and that does already explain it all a bit more in showing you what advance you start on, what advance your target is and how many there is in between. For IDrng however there is no generator and with that the program doesn't really explain anything about the advances here. I've had newbies often at first ignore the advances and not get their target (lol) and then when i told them about paying attention to the "advances" column and how to advance the rng they sometimes asked if they have to advance the rng by the number that is in the advances column. Renaming specifically the IDs sections advances to target advances would make this much clearer for newcomers imo
I don't think this confusion will be fixed so much. A newcomer may understand or read target advances the same as advances
since my recommendation would have the singular "Target Advance" I feel it would be a fair bit clearer that that is the advance one must get to
Having thought about it some more, I believe that it would be best to even rename "Advances" in the Searcher tab of all gen 5 windows to the singular of either "Advance" or "Target Advance" (including IV Advances becoming "IV Advance" or "Target IV Advance").
That way in the generator you see all the Advances (where plural makes perfect sense) whilst in the searcher you see what your target advance is (where singular makes more sense as you're not intended to advance the RNG by e.g. 50 if the current target "advances" are 50 in gen 5 due to the seed dependent starting frame; unlike in e.g. gens 3 and 4 where it would be the amount of rng advances required)
