Format support for or integrate contents of native MS Edge blocklist(s)
Prerequisites
- [x] I checked the documentation and understood it;
- [x] I checked to make sure that this issue has not already been filed;
Problem description
Edge has internal blocklists that might leak privacy, be incompatible to, or duplicate functionality of AG, so users should probably disable Edge's native support for that.
Proposed solution
Would @AdGuardTeam consider:
- [ ] integrating support for Edge blocklists in AG?
- [ ] failing that, automatically import the content blocks from, e.g., https://edge.microsoft.com/abusiveadblocking/api/v1/blocklist, into the appropriate AG list(s)?
Additional information
I found the above via examining my AG Recent Activity log. If I find anymore, I'll report back.
Definitely is needed to embrace how this json is to be converted, so as not to block ≈3998 Internet pages accidentally.
For example, this site appears clean or strangely infected:
{
"sites": [
{
"url": "e-pyrzyce.pl"
}
],
"created_time": 1743435047
}
It seems to be a WordPress installation (so maybe it has blocked updates or old either rarely updated plugins/themes(templates)) (In view-source possible found '"Plugin" Rank Math WordPress SEO -->'). Of the funny things, it is not blocked by Edge or SmartScreen from Microsoft Defender in other browsers.
In theory, I see some 5 duplications:
