AdGuard VPN constantly reconnects the VPN tunnel connection in integration mode with AdGuard Pro

  • Device: iPad 6th Generation & iPad Pro

Operating mode

Integrated

Exclusions mode

None, AdGuard VPN app works in integrated mode

Issue Details

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Update AdGuard Adblocker for iOS to version 4.5.3
  2. Press connect on AdGuard VPN for iOS

Expected Behavior

It should also allow you to connect to the internet without any problems.

Actual Behavior

When pressing connect in AdGuard VPN for iOS, the VPN blocks internet access and flashes connected to connecting while it has blocked internet access.

This happened after updating AdGuard Adblocker Pro for iOS.

@Batman2814 we already know about this problem. Please try disabling "Restart protection when network changes" in Advanced settings

Does the problem stop recurring?

@Batman2814 many users have been helped by disabling the "Restart protection when network changes" function, because the problem is in this function. Did you have this feature enabled? Please try to disable "Restart protection when network changes" in AdGuard Pro, then restart both applications and repeat the steps

So, disabling 🚫 did seem to fix the problem with the setting disabled. 🚫 So, can you give me a timeframe on when this issue will be fixed for a future release? 🤔

@Batman2814 great, we've got it. The problem will be fixed in update 4.6, it's coming soon. I think it would be nice to use your Issue as the "main" one, as we have a lot of requests on this topic

By the way I tested this, and 3-5 minutes after restarting the VPN tunnel the connection becomes stable and no longer restarts the VPN tunnel, you can check this.

As a temporary solution for now just disable "Restart protection when network changes" in Advanced settings of AdGuard Pro

I found the problem it was for me, it was in the AdGuard iOS or the Pro app advanced setting the option I tried disabling the “Restart protection when network changes” option and the AdGuard VPN beta version had, stayed connected now, on all of my Apple mobile devices which there are seven of them. I didn’t make any other changes to either one of the AdGuard apps, and the only thing that I noticed in the last 24 hours is the loading time of the application it is very slow with the VPN enabled with the fastest, closest server to me enabled now.
