Filter All Traffic By Default
Issue Details
Only some web browsers are added to the list of "list of filtered applications" by default. Other programs that a user installs are not filtered by default (as seen in the 'Filtering log' with no network activity for the newly installed programs). Therefore, for every new program that the user installs (which needs to be filtered), the user needs to manually add that to the list.
Proposed solution
AdGuard should filter 'everything' out of the box. Windows is known for ads, trackers, analytics, etc. so AdGuard needs to be able to filter 'all' traffic by default; including built-in and user installed programs.
Alternative solution
Manually add each and every application/executable to the list of filtered applications which is next to impossible considering there are hundreds of them. To make matters worse, there is no 'Select All' feature to select all the executables/programs and add them to the filtered list.
This is already a part of major update 8.0 :)
我赞成,这建议说的好
I thought when AG's DNS Protection is ON is system wide, not just the browser or particular application.
P.S. Also question to the @AdguardTeam about the Bootstrap Adresses(in Advance Options):
Due to not able to find any documentation about it,can i do tls://1.1.1.1
and tls://1.0.0.1
,if i can,how to arrange them,
one per line or next to each other etc. And most importantly, how to make sure that it's working.Where would i be able to see that the dns queries are encrypted and not just sent to the normal 1.1.1.1
.
Thank you 👍
@dnmTX , you should specify bootstrap one per line within the appropriate advanced setting's textbox. As for making sure that it's works - you can enable debug logs and lookup for specified bootstrap address in it
Thank you kindly @adbuker 👍
