Shadow of AdGuard windows persists across virtual desktops
Steps to reproduce
- Open any AdGuard window (in this case
Filtering Log).

- Switch to another existing virtual desktop (using
Windows key + Ctrl + Right arrow) … or create one (switching to it will be automatic) (usingWindows key + Ctrl + D*).*As described here in the "Virtual desktops keyboard shortcuts" section.
Expected behavior
When switching to another virtual desktop, the AdGuard window shadow should not persist.
Actual behavior
The shadow of the AdGuard window persists across virtual desktops.
:information_source: This concerns only the outline, the window as such is "not really there" (I mean … I can make a selection on the desktop in it for example, see this screenshot).
Other screenshots

↑ Concrete example of a problematic situation:
Explorer window OK but see the shadow of the AdGuard window persisting in the background.

↑ Two remarks here:
1. The mouse cursor changes when hovering over this shadow, as you can see.
2. If we click on this shadow, we return to the virtual desktop where the AdGuard window is located.
:arrow_right_hook: (Just for info: AdGuard window not visible in the taskbar because in my case only the windows of the current virtual desktop are displayed, as defined — by default IIRC — in Windows settings here.)
:arrow_right_hook: (Second info: I don't have this problem with windows from other applications.)
Your environment
- AdGuard 7.9.1 (latest stable) on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1586)
- :information_source: Also, reproducible both after a system reboot and with
DisplayFusionexited (+DisplayFusionServiceservice stopped), and on another computer.
Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the report. It's reproducible on our side
My pleasure! Great! 🙂
