I can also confirm this on Firefox for Android. I call Firefox custom tabs in my RSS reader and the first time I do so, ads/anti-adblock popups usually occur. I have to wait and then reload the page. It's fine thereafter until I've closed out of my RSS reader and go back in. A settings toggle for halting all traffic/pre-fetching in the browser until the plugin is loaded might be advantageous.
