Issue Details
Steps to reproduce:
- Block dns11.quad9.net on network level
- Try to login

Login successful

Login error, please contact service-email

Unblocking dns11.quad9.net fixes the issue. Blocking DoT/DoH servers to prevent applications (browser etc.) bypassing default DNS is crucial for security.
@privacy-advo, hello! Please do the following:
- Right click the AdGuard VPN extension icon in your browser's toolbar and enable
Debug logs. - Reproduce the problem and remember the exact time when the issue was reproduced.
- Right click the AdGuard VPN extension icon again and click
Export logs. - Send the archive with the file to [email protected]:
- include
[extension]keyword and216in the subject of your email - specify the exact time when the issue occurred
We don't need any logs, the issue is clear.
We need to fallback to the default API server when service discovery via DoH is not available.
@privacy-advo We found the problem, we'll fix it soon.
Using 2.5.11 on Firefox and the addon still tries to connect to dns11.quad9.net but it works even when the connection is blocked.

AdGuard VPN extension v 2.5.7 on Brave still persits. But I guess it'll be fixed in 2.6. @alexx7311
