Volume control

Opening the SoundTouch speaker in the eve app allows for volume control. So it seems the option exists. Considering the AirPod, shouldn't it be possible to get the SoundTouch to show up as a speaker in HomeKit now, with everything that entails (e.g. volume control)?

There is something called HMCharacteristicTypeVolume could that be used?
