[Firefox] Black picture, don't open on new tab, weird url on url bar.
Hello ! Thanks a lot I really like your extension and I've use it since a long time.
The last update that took place 2 days ago are breaking things.
I'm on Windows running Firefox 141.0 (64 bits), and BetterViewer v2.0.2 .
Firstly it doesn't replace "open in a new tab" native firefox picture viewver (I figure that I need to right click to the picture and then choose to open in BetterViewver) (same issue as https://github.com/Ademking/BetterViewer/issues/65 as well as a number of other duplicates).
And frequently, but not always, when opening a picture, for exemple this big yellowish picture on this website for exemple : https://anibase.net/fr/anime/mRb8m/FLCL ), the picture is not there and the screen is all black. Only the tool remain. (picture attached)
Local picture cannot be open, but it was the case with the older version as well, actually, the older version of the extension didnt openin that case and the firefox native viewver opened the picture corretly. (Ive just tested it)
Also, the fact that the url in the url bar is not the link of the picture but a weird code "moz-extension://f105fa19-35b6-41f9-8f6a-94c1f2b25138/tabs/ImageViewer.html" is annoying.
I know you've rewritten the extension to comply with the mighty manifest V3. However, in Firefox, manifest V2 is still here and will keep being there. So maybe you can hack some things to bring things back for Firefox only...
Thanks a lot, I really like your extension ! Ertuit
Can confirm that opening images in a new tab (right click -> Open Image in New Tab) is no longer activating BetterViewer functionality, defaulting to the vanilla Firefox viewer (which is completely useless for actually viewing images).
Additionally, using the context menu "Open Image in BetterViewer" doesn't respect tab order, instead always placing the new tab at the end of the stack (which is horrid for powerusers like myself).

This is because the image is not opening to its hosted webpage, the addon is grabbing and opening the image locally. You can see the same effect if you drag'n'drop an image from your computer onto the browser (or any other compatible file, such as a PDF etc).

...humm, normally, when I drag and drop a picture or a pdf, or any fileformat supported by Firefox, locally or from a website and open it in Firefox, it show the path or the url of the document. (ex : "file:///C:/Users/Ertuit/exemple.png" or https://exemple.com/mypicture.png ).
I agree that with the version 2 of BetterViewver in Firefox, it doesnt do it anymore and now open on a weird "moz-extension://f105fa19-35b6-41f9-8f6a-94c1f2b25138/tabs/ImageViewer.html" url. With the 1.X version of BetterViewver, it didnt do that and showed the path/url of the file.
is there any way to replace extension://alkcoacmoaihfakciasiaciaui/tabs/ImageViewer.html to original file url
because i need to modify searchParams of an image
Same on my machine. "Open Image in New tab" is no longer activating BetterViewer 2.02 on Firefox, but works fine on Chrome.

It appears that this issue won't be getting resolved, unfortunate. Time to try and find a new image viewer again... for the millionth fucking time...

I just use the last v1.0.5 version on Firefox. Because Manifest V2 is not being deprecated on Firefox, and its local only, it should work for a little while... (also you need disable auto-update of the extension)
