I'm just starting a new gig and also moving so my time has been absolutely consumed for the near future.

I think the last I recall the issue with this and Meteor was that the container div wasn't available yet and it threw an error. It's possible that using body would work or even delaying the execution a bit give Meteor time to render the div.
