Stops syncing after a while on Chrome

When using on chrome (105.0.5195.125), this extension works great for maybe a day or so and then stops sending data to the main activitywatch dashboard. However, it says it's still connected:

As you can see, the last sync was 4 days ago, yet it says "connected". If I disable and re-enable it with the check-box, it doesn't seem to fix anything. But if I disable the whole extension in chrome and re-enable it, it'll start working properly again (for another day or so).

I did a local install with a slightly modified version of this plugin (just added some debugging logging to try to figure out what was going on) and this problem went away. No idea what that fixed, lol. Maybe the version in the chrome store and in master differ?

Seems like the same issue occurs also on Firefox: (Today is 2023-04-13 08:05)

Even after the potential fix, the issue seems to persist on Firefox
