[BUG] Git user.name question during init/upgrade fails to pick up name change / CSCLSROZ-603

it seems to happen when after confirming the git user name you it doesn't proceed but waits for a SECOND click on ENTER key. At least in one case we then noticed that the old name was used instead of the new one:

also, why is this second ENTER necessary sometimes in the first place?
