[Bug]: Both (GPFGAN/Codeformer) face restoration models ruin results of cum/facials
Is there an existing issue for this?
- [x] I have searched the existing issues and checked the recent builds/commits
What happened?
I am using a new "bukkake" model that generates realistic faces with realistic cumshots on them. For those who want to try for testing purposes and verification of the bug being reported, you can find the model here: https://mega.nz/file/olV0yDrR#-5ShWX92PP6r8wV6jHMHQjOmEGnq82xY6-J048GOf9s
I noticed that if you turn on the "restore faces" option, all cum is either completely removed from the face, or it becomes blood, or it becomes a very unrealistic white shade. Even using Codeformer with weight set to 1 (minimum effect), all cum is ruined/quality diminished.
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Produce any realistic face with realistic cumshot on it in txt2img (You can use the model shown above for this)
- Run again with face restore enabled, but for the same seed with the same settings
- Observe the difference
What should have happened?
There should be another face restoration model that is "smarter", as in smart enough not to alter liquids that exist on the phase. Or at least an option
Commit where the problem happens
N/A - This is not a UI bug, rather a model used by the UI bug

And remember: Ckpts/hypernetworks/embeddings are not interently safe as of right now. They can be pickled/contain malicious code. Good luck!
this isn't a bug, this is just a moan. Train your own face restoration model - gfpgan offers that option, or take the moaning to discussion. not here.
It's an issue with the dreambooth and GPFGAN/Codeformer, so you should probably bring that up with the maker of the dreambooth itself, it's not related to anything here.
I mean, it literally says "Tip: Do NOT use face restore.... Both currently available face restore models (GPFGAN and Codeformer) completely remove or ruin" for this particular model/ckpt, so.....
