[Feature Request]: Inpaint remove/delete mask mode.

Open ZeroCool22 opened this issue 2 years ago • 9 comments

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • [X] I have searched the existing issues and checked the recent builds/commits

What would your feature do ?

Pressing/Hold lets say CONTROL or ALT key, with this we activate the remove mask mode, the black DOT pointer become RED (so we know we are in remove mode).

Proposed workflow

  1. Press hold a designed key, black dot pointer become red.
  2. Then remove mask mode is active, then we can delete a specific part of the mask.

Seconded. Needing to use the undo button (which is itself buggy) to fix masking mistakes is awful.

Would really appreciate this! I'm really suprised that it wasn't implemented originally!

We really need this, the inpaint tool is pretty hard to use without it. Usually when you want to erase, you want to keep most of what you just did and fix your one booboo. The undo tool does not allow that.

This would be really highly appreciated! Please.

Gradio added the new ImageEditor component that allows to erase the mask (and many other features). Is it now possible to replace the image component in SDUI with this new editor?

Agreed, this proposal for mask removal mode, enhancing user experience. Looking forward to its implementation and release.

I'd love to see this too. It's weird there isn't just a separate eraser button to remove pixels from the mask, since the brush to add them works so well. Undo is not great because maybe you changed your mind about something you did at the start when you're almost done masking.
