[Feature Request]: "Installing open_clip" step may be no longer needed?

What would your feature do ?

When doing a new installation: Installing open_clip Downloading https://github.com/mlfoundations/open_clip/archive/bb6e834e9c70d9c27d0dc3ecedeebeaeb1ffad6b.zip Compile and install it as open_clip_torch==2.7.0 And then install open-clip-torch==2.20.0 from requirements_version.txt, uninstalling 2.7.0. So why not remove the step above?

Just remove Installing open_clip as mentioned.
