no option for 'pause'
I'm trying to setup the 'lights off with play/lights on with pause' but I am not finding an option for 'pause' in the config. when I press the pause button it shows up in the terminal as "[HarmonySpan] got Play"

At least my Harmony Companion has a combined Play / Pause button, so Play should work for Pause.
I'm seeing the exact same issue on my Harmony Elite.
I'm not sure the response above is helpful or not. Some more details here would be very much appreciated!
Also, overall the instructions are not overly clear for the uninitiated.
Hi,
the program (Harmony Span) fakes a Roku device. Only the commands supported by that Roku device can be addressed through Harmony Span and the Harmony system respectively. Said Roku device has a combined play/pause button, so there is no dedicated "pause" command that could be triggered. Google for "Roku remote" and look at the images, then you'll see what I mean.
Sorry for my misleading answer above. But (by coincidence) the same applies for the Harmony Companion remote: It only has one single physical button that has a Play and a Pause icon printed on the same button.
Hope that helps.
Regards, Michael.
So we need to use a different Roku "button" and assign that to either the remote play or the pause buttons within the Sequences added to an activity?
Yes, that's ultimately what I ended up doing and it works fine.
This is very strange. The reason I am trying to install Harmony Span is to get exactly the functionality you, michaelewers, say is not possible because the Pause/Play is a single button. It is a toggle button and more importantly this video that got me started down this path clearly shows having a different sequence programmed to pause (pause+brighten lights) and play(play+dim lights) on a Harmony Elite just like mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gqjma5_ZAYo. ???????
You can still do this. Just map a different button for the pause sequence. I use “home” to brighten lights and created a sequence in harmony to connect it to the remote’s pause button . Works great!

Thanks a lot. I am having problems getting my remote to see the Roku and I didn't want to spend a lot of time working on it if I couldn't achieve that someway.
