Export blueprint to document

Open kye opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

We're cross checking our environment against the blueprint and making notes on where we need to make changes. This work is tracked through Word and Excel documents. Ideally, we'd like to export the entire blueprint as a single Word or Excel document, so that we don't need to copy/paste each section, and we know we're compliant at a point in time.

Can you help us, or can you provide advise?

Thank you

Our recommendation is for users to refer to current and up to date guidance available on our website. It's especially important as Microsoft 365 changes are quite regular. We expect our users to keep their own "as-built-as-configured" documentation with their own specific tweaks, overrides or customisations.

But we do appreciate the size and scale of what's covered in the blueprint and the need to configure and assess an implementation at a point in time. So we're thinking of ways to fulfil this. It may be instructions for users that need it, or it may be scripts we'll build. We're partly there already as the security documentation are automatically generated in docx and pdf formats together with their web versions. But don't expect the output to have gone through print typesetting processes, they'll be automated so won't be polished/pretty.

Thank you Michael. Can you provide a link to the generated security document?

Start from https://desktop.gov.au/blueprint/security.html and visit each of the pages listed. At the top underneath the titles there are download options for docx or PDF except for the system security plan annexes which are already in XSLX format.

The project that I am working on to implement O365 in a gov dept needs a set of design documents that can be used as part of the sign off process however none of the blueprint is available for signoff apart from the GRC doco. Can you include links on the other pages that will generate a doc, pdf or xls that we can then use to lodge with the PMO?
