If this is a feature request, what is motivation or use case for changing the behavior?

Tabletop AR technologies(https://docs.mapbox.com/unity/maps/examples/tabletop-ar/, https://developers.arcgis.com/net/android/sample-code/display-scenes-in-tabletop-ar/) requires ability to detect flat surface as table top literally and putting multiple geo objects with geolocation(latitude and longitude) on this surface.

I think expanding of current ar.js enables this technology.

Any plan or idea of Tabletop AR by ar.js?
