Have you added the Java Parameter

I have the same issue, trying to install forge for 1.12.2. I have tried the parameter (I wasn't sure where is supposed to go, so I tried in "global game config>java paramenters" and "minecraft parameters") to no avail. It's still failing for the same reason when installing forge.
