RVIZ visualization needs elevation layer?

Hey hey,

first of all great project! Really enjoy playing around with grid map. I am currently into the rviz visualization and there is an aspects I wonder about:

I have a flat color layer displaying an image, therefore I choose as height transformation in rviz "flat" and as color layer my appropriate layer. However the map is only displayed if I have an existing elevation layer and it is set to zero. While this might have reasons, it does not seem very intuitive to me? Can this be changed?

I also found that problem. I must set the name as "elevation", and I can show my map in rviz.
