Empty art boards during import

On MacOS Catalina with Sketch 69, i cannot import icons anymore. The icons imported show up as a white art board with nothing on it. If I drag icons into sketch they seem distorted and after the organize function the art boards are again empty and the icons are gone.

I need to delete the plug in and restart (!) my computer so the icon distortion stops on new icons I drag and drop...

I get the same issue. I get empty white artboards. It doesn't import to different sizes either only 24px. I am on Sketch 70.3
