IS-05-02 test_07 fails when trying to "master_enable" my incompletely configured receiver
Should it be possible and acceptable to have an incompletely configured nmos receiver after the system start? In my case the audio receiver is missing the initial media configuration and fails then to be "master enabled" like its expected in "test_07". So only after a successfull IS-05 patch with a valid SDP media description, this test can be run with success.
From here its not really clear to me, whether media configuration can be invalid right after the system start. If its the case, the test should be adjusted then -> 1) patch valid sdp to a receivers 2) "master enable" it.
What do you guys think about it?
cheers, Max
I certainly think it's reasonable for a Receiver to start up without media configuration. These tests seem a little naive from this perspective at present and assume that this configuration already exists. We certainly can generate an SDP file and pass this in (as is done in test_18 of the same suite), but we'll need to be a little careful with the way in which errors are presented to the user in case the real failure happens when the Receiver parses the SDP.
