OpenGlass doesn’t install and open on Windows 11 25H2 26200.6899/7019

I tried to install OpenGlass, the window opens for 1 second and then just closes immediately without asking permission. I saw some guy has the same issue as me, can someone help with this?

I have the same Issue. Unfortunately i haven't found a solution yet. my 24H2 version was also 26200.6899. in 25H2 it is 26200.6901 and openglass doesn't work. Just adding the current versions that don't work. If you're aiming to transform windows 11 into windows 7/Vista i would recommend https://archive.org/details/windows-vista-theme-for-windows-11-the-border-update. With DWMBlurGlass. The result in my opinion looks better than/the same as openglass. As DWMBlurGlass has an easily usable GUI.

I know the issue of it closing without reason can occur on 24H2 (as my laptop had that issue) and also on 25H2 (as I just updated to it, on the same laptop) and then the method from PixelGamer2 seems to work (as long as Command Prompt as ran as Administrator.)

Image (Note that the borders are working, as the theme wouldn't have had filled in borders with what I had used prior minus OpenGlass, but with OpenGlass it does work.)

Just felt like stating this here to add onto those who can confirm the method works.

Im unable to get this method to work in 26200.7019 as it just does the same exact thing as before, flashing for one second and then closing immediately afterwards, is there a specific save directory OpenGlass needs to be saved in or is this just a permanent bug on this version?

Started to have get the same problem after last 24H2 update (26100.7171). That command line trick worked to get OpenGlass running, but cannot get modern borders work even though I have the correct settings in registry. Had to go back to the forked Bring Borders Back mod of Windhawk.

I got it working suddenly once without the command line trick by killing dwm.exe in Task manager, but that was really strange, because I had already deleted most of the OpenGlass folder content and the reason why I killed dwm.exe in the first place was that Windows wouldnt let me delete the three dlls unless I do it. After I killed the dwm.exe, it started to download symbols and then the glass appeared, but in a case I had already deleted all the folders, which I wonder. But it didn't work anymore after reboot. How on earth it can work for a moment after deleting the folder content and why killing dwm.exe suddenly got it working for a moment anyway?

Following is off topic, but I have noticed that also ThemeToolSharp used with SecureUXTheme is non acting after this and latest 24H2 update. It works again after reinstalling SecureUXTheme though.

Are you running the installers as an administrator? If you don't, the files will not register properly.
