vertices deleted after import

Great tool but do you know how to fix this issue? Whenever I re-import a skin it deletes some vertices. I tried messing with the import settings but nothing seem to fix it. Images below to explain my issue before after

EDIT: fixed by separating affected mesh

Interesting: First time reported, we've been using this in heavy production for years now, not encountered this (but stranger things have happened). I'm happy to help, but I'll need a repro case and the exact steps / settings you used. Can you send me the the file in question, and the exact steps/settings you used that caused this? I just noticed you closed this issue right after you opened it: Still happening, or a mistake post?

I found an fix by just separating the vertices that got deleted. Here's the link to the model mesh.zip Steps to the issue

  • select the mesh and export temp
  • unbind skin
  • bind skin
  • select the mesh and import temp

Thanks, I'll try to repro. You shouldn't have to separate anything to make it work. I'll reopen the issue and test.

FYI, I haven't had the time to dig into your issue yet but: I think I just got my first repro on my own data, which is 'good' since I can dig into that.

Finally got time to dig in: I got your file, and went through your steps, but am unable to repro the issue: No verts move based on the reimport. However, this could be based on differences between your / my import settings: If you can still repro this, can you screenshot your Import tab ? Also, it's worth noting the skinning on the file you gave me was 'not great' to begin with, unsure if you were expecting that or not either.
