Describe the bug accounts.google.com always fail to Auto-Fill password

To Reproduce For any service click on "Connect with Google", pick the right account from Keyguard, choose to "always Auto-Fill", see the email being filled but not the password.

Expected behavior Password being automatically filled

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: OnePlus 6T
  • OS: Android 11
  • App version 1.11

Using Pixel 8a on A16, autofilling password works without problems. Your problem might be happening due to old Android version (less unlikely, but possible) or a bad browser. What browser are you using? You could try a different browser and see if it'll help (for example, I'm running Brave and autofilling works without any issues).

Also, note that these are my opinions, I'm not a developer of this app.

Browser is not the issue.

Some apps use "connect with Google" and opens a web page in an embedded wrapper instead of using default browser and read accounts on your device.

It's Android bro. There's tons of situations where you need Google credentials. Login into a website using Brave is just one of them.
