Improve client to send to new numbers?

This app is fantastic as it allows one to use WhatsApp without having the apk installed on their phone. A modest proposal: make use of the API trick to enhance the web client to send messages to new numbers without forcing one to hand over contacts to Meta.

This trick: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=XXXXXXXXXXX where the Xs are replaced by the country code and telephone works well on the web client. Could it be integrated with this app to have a "NEW MESSAGE" button?

"Open in WhatsApp" makes use of that trick but unfortunately requires users to have the proprietary WhatsApp apk installed on one's phone.

Any news on this? It would be great if the "add number" feature could be added, or allow the link https://web.whatsapp.com/send?phone=xxxxxxxxxxx to be shared to it from a whatsapp dialler which works for whatsappweb. Thanks
