In tablet 2-column mode, app list and folder order should be down the left column then down the right
Is your feature request related to a problem?
In 2-column mode, I find the back-and-forth ordering of apps across columns difficult to use. It's especially disorienting because I use a Galaxy Fold and often switch between 1- and 2-column modes.
One way it's more difficult is that, while I love the extra space use of 2-column mode (especially invaluable for widgets), I still often hold the device and launch apps primarily with my left. Because app ordering is back and forth across columns, half my "top" apps require a long reach or a second hand to launch.
Another way is that apps don't maintain their relative position and scan-ability when moving between 1- and 2-column modes. If in 1-column I order apps as A, B, C, then D, then in two-column mode B is no longer near C, C is now near A, and D is now near B; I also have to remember to scan sideways instead of just down like I'm used to in 1-column, and process back-and-forth a lot instead of just two scans (one per column) in one direction.
Describe the solution you'd like
I think it would feel more natural if app list and folder order in 2-column mode read down the first column then down the second, instead of back and forth. That would let me launch apps that are most often used (or ordered "earlier" in 1-column mode) with my left hand. It would also maintain apps' relative positions to each other better when switching between 1- and 2-column modes and make them easier to scan in the same order as 1-column mode.
