1. the gesture buttons could have more options.
2. in the alphabet sidebar could be redesigned to appear a little cleaner.

Describe the solution you'd like

1. the gestures button could have more functionalities, additional gestures could be assigned by sliding sideways and down or double/triple tap.

2. the highlighted letter in slider can grow in size when in focus, while the other letters above and below are more spaced out than they're now. that could replace current interface, in which the letter is showing twice, encircled next to the same letter in the side bar. perhaps it's my ADHD, but I found it a bit confusing... anyway making UX ADHD friendly is generally a good practice :)

3. the search feature — I'm aware of the controversy but I'd reposition the search box to the bottom of the screen for the sake of thumb-friedliness. the search field can appear right above the keyboard, so that the user can quickly glance at whatever they're typing. then I'd display the results from the bottom upwards instead of the standard case, in which the first result is at the top of the display, faaaar from the position active finger on the keyboard.

it'd significantly reduce the travel distance of the (typing) thumb from the most likely search result and make it a single-handed layout :) which is always nice!
