Double column after camera

Open rohoy opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

Describe the bug

I open the camera and orient it for a landscape shot. When done with the photography, I press the home button. The Niagara launcher has now got two columns, but I only want to see one.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open camera from lock screen
  2. Orient landscape
  3. Press home button
  4. Unlock device
  5. Launcher displays two columns now
  6. Requires launcher restart to get back to one column

Does the issue also occur with other 3rd-party launchers?

Hey there, thanks for the report. Displaying double columns when using landscape mode is the intended behavior. If you flip it back into portrait mode, it should revert to normal without needing a restart. Is this not working on your end? Note: you can also disable screen rotation in the Niagara - Feature settings if it bothers you.

Thank you for your reply. However the checkbox allowing screen rotation is disabled, but the double columns still appear only after using the camera in landscape orientation. My device is also locked to portrait.

I see, thanks for clarifying. We'll investigate the issue further. If you can capture the behavior somehow, that might prove helpful in reproducing the bug on our end. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Hi, I have uploaded a video to OneDrive, hopefully you are able to view it. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AoQw7riLr7jkq3SInypxfkt7kpqi?e=0P4Utk

Just to concur that I am getting the same behaviour on a Samsung S10 - I can revert to a single column by going to app search - but def a bug.

Confirming the same behaviour on a Moto G22 running Android 12. Stopping the Niagara app manually clears the bug and it reverts to single column.
