Online service to get lyrics

Right now lyrics are fetched using Musixmatch, but unfortunately this isn't always the best solution. What would be best is to have a very basic online service (or even just REST API) to upload and download lyrics.

Based on my research from another project I had that used MusixMatch, it seems creating your own API is likely to be the best solution. There doesn't appear to be any alternative to MusixMatch with the same karaoke-like synchronisation features. If you find one, please do let me know. :)
