Show feedback when messages are not sent

While IRC provides no actual feedback of whether a message what delivered or not. However Sockethub does, in cases where it has a stale connection or no connection at all, or the message request has an issue.

It would be an event coming back on the 'failure' event, with the '@type' of 'send'.

How can I best produce this event? When I just put my computer offline while being connected to a local Sockethub instance and then trying to send messages, I don't receive any failure events. The only thing happening after a while is a console warning message by "sockethub-client.js":
