GDevelop was uninstalled instead of updated

Here's a problem we see now and then on the Discord and forum, and it happened to me now. I formated my hard drive three days ago. Two days ago, I downloaded GDevelop v137 from the website (why not v138 which is almost a month old?), I installed it for all users, and as soon as I opened it, I had a message saying an update was available. I haven't really used it these past two days, I cannot remember if/how I closed it. But today, I have a blank icon, and it won't start. image image image image image

I suspect there's a problem with the "for all users" setting during updates, because it's the first time I tried it, but it's just a guess. 🤷 I opened the installer.exe file now, and it worked fine. During the install for all users, the installer says that admin credentials will be requested. A lead, perhaps.

I'm on Win10 64-bit

New user here. Same thing happened when I tried to install the version from the website (twice). Then manually downloaded 5.0.138 and installing that worked. I subsequently changed auto-update in settings to avoid this happening again. ;)

Win 11 64-bit, also installed for all users.

Selecting current user during the process does appear to workaround the issue.

This is still happening (bump).
