MacOS: Application always opens on initial desktop screen

First of all, thanks a lot for the repo and article. Was very helpful figuring things out especially as a Rust newbie.

I have just applied everything and noticed that the menubar app seems to always switch back to the desktop it was originally opened in:

  1. Open app from clicking the system tray icon
  2. Navigating to a different desktop
  3. Clicking the system tray icon
  4. Mac navigates back to the first desktop where the app was initially launched

This seems like an unwanted behaviour as an menubar app should be able to be opened on any desktop it was clicked on. Was wondering if anyone knows a fix for this.

Thanks for the feedback! What version of macOs are you using? Just checked on macOs Ventura 13.0 works as expected. But I have encountered a similar problem, just can't remember if it was in Electron or Tauri :-)

Running currently on:

macOS Monterey Version 12.6 Apple M1 Pro (16-inch, 2021)
