Why don’t we use mAP for evaluating each occlusion level?

This is excellent work. It presents novel methods for detecting occluded pedestrians. In the paper, mAP and Average Recall are used for evaluation. Average Recall is used to evaluate each occlusion level. Why don’t we use mAP for this? I would appreciate it if you could answer my question
